Regulators’ Short Story TEST: Thursday, December 6
Ok, your big test over short story analysis is Thursday! As of today in class, you should have in your possession copies of each of the SIX short stories that will be covered on the test. This will be incredibly helpful as I will let you use them while you’re taking the test.
Some questions will be directly text-based, which means you’ll be able to find the answers in the story itself, and others will be more analytical. You’ll be asked to identify literary elements and figurative devices. Check your notes!
All right now, folks…Open wide, ’cause I’m fixin’ to spoon feed ya’. Here’s EVERYTHING (ok, seriously not everything…brains ARE a must) YOU NEED (but should already have) to be successful on the test:
The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell
To Build a Fire by Jack London
The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs - full text
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms by Ray Bradbury
Pssst…now for a secret. I know that some of you actually read my blog entries here at “Koolteecha’s Virtual Classroom”. If you’re one of lucky ones checking the website tonight, here’s an early start on the LENGTHY review I’m handing out tomorrow for the test:
