Poetry and Murder on Trains: Musings for this week…
Well lovelies, it seems as if it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here, what with all of our other stuff going on – the Ning, the discussion board, Gaggle, etc. It occured to me that my first priority should be to provide a link to your vocabulary lists should some unfortunate incident occur that renders you listless. So here they are:
Regulators Spring Vocabulary – 2008
Pre-APeeps Spring Vocabulary – 2008
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about what’s up this week:
My darling Pre-APeeps continue to move through the “C” in TPCASTT. This week we’ll finally move beyond the C! Woo hoo! I’ll also be assigning several more independent “TPC” assignments, so be sure that you know exactly what I expect from you. I’ll go over it in class again and again and again and again…
Just a reminder – our next literary foray will be The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder. Don’t get over-zealous and buy a book right away, but I do recommend that you get your paws on one in the next couple of weeks.
Regulators!! Was that a great ending or what???? Did any of you KNOW who committed the crime before Poirot started spelling it out? Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. I love it! This week we’ll watch the movie – if you enjoyed the book, you WILL enjoy seeing it acted out on the silver screen. Good stuff!
Regulators, your next literary foray will be Nothing But the Truth by Avi. Yes, the author’s name is Avi. Just Avi. It’s a great story – written a little differently than you’re used to – that I think you’ll really like.
Special well-wishes to our beloved Courtney D., who is competing in the Area Spelling Bee this week – good luck! I know you’re going to SHINE!

Awwww… I’m sorry that our spelling depresses you. I guess we just aren’t as omniscient as you are in the wonderful ways of spelling.

Um..for the TPCASTT, my poem doesn’t have any kind of shift at all.. what do I do?
Do I just do a TPCATT? =)
